National Small-bore Rifle Association Winter League
25 January 2012

At the end of the 1st round of the National Small-bore Rifle Association(NSRA) winter league, local Clachnacuddin shooters Iain Malone and Roddie Emburey are sitting in 1st and 2nd place in the "Class A" league. The 2nd round is due in at the end of January.

Two years ago Sports Council assisted Clachnacuddin in the purchase of specialised bench-rest equipment which was used in this event.

Clachnacuddin has moved into air-rifle shooting in the last year and is already clocking up wins national events.  Junior International target shooter Seoc Malone - who took up air earlier this year - took a break from a 4 day training camp to put in a PB and winning score in the SSRA air-rifle GP competition in Aberdeen yesterday.

In her first year of competing Anne-Marie Bexley took a 1st in her class in the NSRA winter series air-rifle event.

Not to be outdone, her mother - Maria Bexley - took a medal position in her first SSRA air-rifle competition that was held in Callander.
